Casualties of War

This project was inspired by the repetitive and continuous nature of war. It explores the inevitable innocent casualties that occur in every war, throughout history, from the Ancient Romans, to World War 2, to the more modern Iraq war. Each piece is 100cm tall and has a movable wooden solar cross which can be rotated by hand; each solar cross has quotes about the war around the outside, and two digitally collaged timelines, from the point of view of the two sides of the wars.
